1st Qatar Red Street The Private Engineering Office has opened the ‘red’ street, which is located within the boundaries of Al Bida Park and extends from Qatar National Theatre to the Emiri Diwan roundabout. The street is the first of its kind in Qatar as it is covered with red asphalt. The opening of the street is part of the Al Bida Park project, being supervised by the Private Engineering Office and Muhel Consulting Company is one of engineering consulting firm that involve in the project management, this road which is expected to open by the year end. The street can be controlled by automated roadblocks that can close it when needed in order to turn it into a pedestrian-only road, or to close it during important events such as Qatar National Day and Sport Day and global events such as the World Cup, especially as the park is one of the main areas to be allocated as a fan zone during the 2022 Fifa World Cup. The street overlooks the main celebration platform on the Doha Corniche. Al Bida Park extends over an area of about 2 Million square meters and is one of the largest parks in the region. It includes a number of public service facilities, the most important of which are underground parking spaces for approximately 6,000 cars.The park also features large gymnasiums, including one for women, in addition to outdoor exercise equipment, sports and open-air playgrounds, an open theatre for 850 spectators, as well as tracks for bicycle, horse and camel, water areas, and other recreational and service facilities.

18th Gulf Engineering Forum The Managing Director of Muhel Consulting – Haydar Al-Rukabi made a presentation during the 18th Gulf Engineering Forum held in St Regis Doha, Qatar Dated 02 March 2015. Through which he evaluated the performance of the Expressway projects in Qatar. Speakers at the Gulf Engineering Forum yesterday highlighted the importance and necessity of having more green buildings and discussed how they would contribute to an improvement in the quality of environment. In particular, they discussed infrastructure building initiatives taking place across the country and the eventual impact that such developments including the Lusail City would have.
